Spanish at Sunrise
At Sunrise, we are aware of the many benefits students have when exposed to a second language at an early age. During the early childhood years, children are naturally learning vocabulary and developing language skills so learning a second language is easier. Young learners are less apprehensive about making mistakes while learning a new language since this is a natural phase of their development. They are more likely to try new words and new sounds. We have Spanish teachers to lead in the implementation of our Spanish program. Children learn Spanish through songs, rhymes, games and fingerplays and are presented Spanish vocabulary lessons through a Spanish curriculum based on Montessori principles. Learning a second language supports Montessori philosophy in cultural awareness too.
